Physische Produkte von Typerotation beziehen sich auf deren Fonts, sie bilden den Abschluss eines Typedesign-Projekts. In diesem Sinne sind die Shirt-Editionen tragbare Schriftproben, welche die Entwürfe zu einem haptischen Erlebnis erweitern. Typerotation hat sich für den Siebdruck mit umwelt-freundlichen Farben auf Wasserbasis entschieden, die sich perfekt mit der Faser verbinden und langlebige Drucke erzeugen. Um die Kontrolle über das Design zu haben, und um mit Freunden zusammenarbeiten zu können, wurden die T-Shirts von Hand in einer Siebdruckwerkstatt in der Leipziger Nachbarschaft gedruckt.

Physical products by Typerotation always relate to their fonts, they represent the finishing touch to any type design project. In this sense, the shirt editions are wearable type specimens that extend the designs into a tangible and tactile experience. Typerotation has decided to use screen printing with eco-friendly water-based inks that perfectly bond with the fibre and create long-lasting prints. In order to have control over the design, the placement of the motifs and the colouring, but also to be able to collaborate with friends, the t-shirts were printed by hand in a screen printing workshop in Leipzig’s neighbourhood.
